HD 8" Mecanum Wheels Now Availalbe!

We are pleased to announce the introduction of our new 8" Mecanum HD (Heavy Duty) wheels. After several months of development and testing, we have a durable mecanum wheel with a much higher weight capacity and a smoother motion to meet your application.

Heavy Duty 8" Mecanum Wheel Set

The new 8" Mecanum HD Wheel set (am-2118) boasts a weight load of 500 lbs/wheel, compared to the 80 lbs/wheel with the standard AndyMark 8" Mecanum Wheel. This product comes unassembled in kit form.

We are able to overload this wheel because of the 8" Mecanum HD Support Spacer. This spacer is molded to support each individual tab on the aluminum side plates of the mecanum wheel. This reduces the risk that the side plates will bend and the roller axles become misaligned.

By adding the outer rollers we achieve a smoother rolling wheel. During the transition from one of the 12 inner rollers to the next, the outer roller hits the ground and decreases the amount of up and down motion.

8" Mecanum HD Support Spacer

The 8" Mecanum HD Support Spacer is designed specifically for our line of 8" Mecanum HD Wheels. Using this spacer in place of the 1600 Spacer increases the load capacity our regular 8" Mecanum Wheels to that of the 8" Mecanum HD Wheels. (am-2066)

8" Mecanum HD Outer Roller Kit

This is a set of outer rollers and the associated hardware for four 8" Mecanum HD Wheels. This hardware can be used to add outer rollers to your existing set of 8" Mecanum Wheels or replace the entire set of outer rollers on your 8" Mecanum HD Wheels. (am-2119)
